This is so fucked up, it's unreal.

If you are in an abusive situation, that's considered a "pre existing condition" and you are not eligible for health insurance.

Unbelievable!

Not to mention, for many victims of domestic violence, hospitalization is a point to find the resources needed to get out of the situation. They can be in a safe and secure place while recovering, and get support from social workers to find the community resources available to them.
